ELEC 1511   Semiconductors I 3  
  This course introduces current flow in semiconductor materials and exposes the student to the analysis and operation of the following solid state devices: p-n diode, zener diode, LED, bipolar junction transistor. Amplifier characteristics are studied, the operational amplifier is introduced as a basic building block. Applications of the op-amp as an amplifier, comparator, and summing amp are studied.
