MATH 1090   Elements of Algebra and Trigonometry 4  
  Algebraic and trigonometric concepts are taught with a heavy emphasis on applications to technical fields. Topics covered include the real number system; algebraic concepts, operations, and factoring; graphing; linear, quadratic, fractional and radical equations; proportion and variation; geometry; trigonometric functions and their graphs; and logarithmic and exponential functions.

  Prerequisite: A grade of C- or better in Math 0980 or appropriate score on the math placement test
