TRACK 1: PROFESSIONAL PEACE OFFICER EDUCATION (PPOE) This program is designed for the individual who wants to become a peace officer (City Police Officer, Deputy Sheriff, State Trooper, DNR Conservation Officer) in the state of Minnesota. The student is awarded an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree from Ridgewater College upon successful completion of the prescribed curriculum of 69 semester credits with a cumulative GPA of 2.00. After completion of the program, the student will be authorized to take the POST Board licensing exam. Students who pass this exam are eligible to be licensed peace officers in the state of Minnesota.
