Assistant Activity Directors plan and lead daily, weekly, and monthly activity programs that enhance and promote quality of life for the elderly in long-term care, memory care, assisted living, retirement communities and other aging organizations. This means working hands-on with individuals in small groups and large groups, and one-on-one. Activity Assistants are also responsible for calendar planning, planning and coordinating social events, leading groups, documentation, working with volunteers and families, and working as a team with facility staff.
