This course covers the care planning and documentation requirements for the activity department with an in-depth review of federal and state requirements for long term care and other elderly settings. Students will learn the procedure of completing assessments, how to identify resident's needs and interests, and how to write goals and progress notes. Other types and forms of activity documentations such as attendance records, policy and procedures, and department records will also be covered.
