CART 2408   Commercial Art 3  
  Commercial Art stresses design elements of line, shape, form, value, color, texture and space; and design principles of balance, movement, rhythm, contrast, emphasis, pattern and unity. These basic elements and principles of design form the structure that underlie most visual arts, whether commercial arts or fine arts. Graphic designing and visualization is the backbone of the advertising world. This course focuses on preparation of black and white and full-color illustration for reproduction. Students will learn various methods such as pencil, pen and ink, ink wash and charcoal rendering. Color techniques include marker, pencil, pastels and watercolor.
