EDUC 1100   Drug Education 2  
  This course is designed to provide students with a working knowledge about the use and misuse of tobacco, alcohol, drugs and narcotics while developing an understanding of their impact on society, student life, and learning. This course will explore prenatal and postnatal drug use and the effects of usage on development and learning. Students will identify the impact of drug use by children/teenagers. Students will examine the psychological, physical, social, medical, and legal aspects of drug use. Students will access community action programs, sources of referral and rehabilitation, as well as drug education programs in our school systems and communities. This course complies with the requirements of M. S.A. 122A.66.
