  This course covers the basics of coding with the ICD-9-CM coding system. Students learn how to classify and index diagnoses and procedures for the purposes of standardization, retrieval, and statistical analysis.  
  Prerequisite: ADS1300 ADS1303 HIMC1100 HIMC1350 or concurrent study or approval of instructor
