MATH 1125   College Algebra with Co-Requisite Support 4  
  This is a College Algebra course required to be taken concurrently with MATH 0995. Students taking this course have basic algebra skills but need the additional support provided in MATH 0995 to be successful in College Algebra. Topics covered include: a short review of elementary algebra topics; general problem-solving strategies; solving first degree, second degree, and absolute value equations and inequalities; linear, quadratic, exponential, and logarithmic functions; systems of linear equations and inequalities; matrix algebra; solving polynomial equations; quadratic systems; fundamental geometric concepts.  
  Prerequisite: A grade of C- or better in MATH 0970 or MATH 0990, or placement into MATH 0980 or MATH 0995 with appropriate score on the Math Placement Exam. Corequisite: MATH 1125
