MATH 2070   Statistics and Its Applications 4  
  This course is designed to give students a conceptual introduction to the field of statistics and its variety of applications. The class is applications-oriented and is presented with the needs of the non-mathematician in mind. Topics covered may include: data collection, summarizing and describing data, estimation and hypotheses testing, statistical inference, goodness of fit, analysis of variance, regression analysis, time series, forecasting, and quality control.

  Prerequisite: A grade of C- or better in Math 0980 or appropriate score on the math placement exam
