SUSPENDED PER AASC 4/17/2020 This course prepares the student to provide physical care to individuals in Home Care Settings. This course introduces concepts of home care, homemaking skills, care of children and special populations. The course also introduces concepts of observation, reporting, and documentation in the home, as well as emergency procedures and hospice care in the home. Attendance at lecture sessions is mandatory. There is an independent study component, in-home observation experience and a short student presentation. Upon successful completion of this course, the student is eligible to take the Minnesota Competency Evaluation for Home Health Aide. |
