A 2-semester sequence general education course for students interested in liberal arts studies, or such fields as agriculture, forestry, dentistry, pharmacy and biological sciences. This course addresses that part of physics dealing with thermodynamics, electricity, magnetism, optics, and modern physics. Through discussion of lecture topics and laboratory investigations, students examine relationships between environmental systems including transportation, energy production, and nuclear power. This course requires a working knowledge of elementary algebra. Laboratory is included. | ||||
