PHYS 121   General Physics 5  
  The first course of a general education physics sequence for students interested in liberal arts studies, or in the fields of physical science or engineering. This course focuses on the study of mechanics of particles and rigid bodies including kinematics, dynamics, conservation laws, linear momentum, and angular momentum. In addition, the topics of fluid mechanics and mechanical waves are covered. Laboratory is included.
