This curriculum involves the study of basic sciences and experience in the clinical laboratory. Technologists perform complex lab procedures or specialized procedures in cytology, histology, and microbiology. Two years of work are available at Ridgewater College and can be credited toward the four-year college and university program. The following courses are required by the University of Minnesota and/or St.Cloud State University. Students should work closely with their advisor to plan for transfer and securing a clinical seat.

Students interested in Medical Technology should complete the following prerequisites and, to the extent possible, complete the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum goals.

Students interested in completing an Associate of Science degree can refer to A.S. Biological Sciences.

NOTE: a medical terminology course (ADS1300) is strongly recommended.
